In May of 2014, a married couple went to check in on their elderly neighbors, Russell and Shirley Dermond, who lived alongside the scenic Lake Oconee. Inside the older couple’s house, they would find one of the most gruesome crime scenes of all-time, which kicked off a terrifying mystery that remains unanswered today.
